The Electric Vehicle Telematics program will automatically schedule EV charging around times when electricity is most in demand and reward drivers for participating to help manage energy use. Participants will receive a text message when Dominion Energy asks customers to change electricity consumption, and their EV charging will automatically schedule around these events, which typically last only a few hours.
You’ll receive access to the WeaveGrid dashboard, which includes personalized information on your charging history and costs, as well as live charging tips. Within the dashboard, you’ll receive guidance on charging behavior around periods of high electric demand.
